يحل الأهلي ضيفاً على بيراميدز، اليوم (الإثنين)، في قمة مصيرية بمسابقة الدوري المصري الممتاز، ضمن منافسات الجولة الرابعة من المرحلة النهائية لحسم اللقب.
وتنطلق المباراة المرتقبة في الثامنة مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة ومكة المكرمة، على ملعب «30 يونيو»، معقل نادي بيراميدز.
لقاء «الفرصة الأخيرة»
وتُعد مباراة اليوم بمثابة «الفرصة الأخيرة» للفريقين للمنافسة على لقب الدوري المصري، مع تبقي أربع مباريات فقط، حيث يحتل بيراميدز المركز الثاني في جدول الترتيب برصيد 44 نقطة، متفوقاً بفارق الأهداف على الأهلي صاحب المركز الثالث، فيما يتربع الزمالك على قمة جدول الترتيب بـ49 نقطة.
موسم صعب للأهلي
ويقدم الأهلي موسماً سيئاً تحت قيادة مدربه الدنماركي ييس توروب، إذ ودع بطولتي كأس الرابطة وكأس مصر مبكراً، إلى جانب الخروج من دوري أبطال أفريقيا من الدور ربع النهائي على يد الترجي التونسي، ولم تعد أمامه فرصة سوى حصد لقب الدوري لمصالحة جماهيره.
بيراميدز يحلم بالثنائية
في المقابل، فشل بيراميدز في الدفاع عن لقب دوري أبطال أفريقيا، بعد وداع النسخة الحالية من الدور ربع النهائي على يد الجيش الملكي المغربي، لكنه يحلم بحصد الثنائية المحلية للمرة الأولى في تاريخه (الدوري وكأس مصر)، إذ سيواجه زد في نهائي كأس مصر، ولا تزال أمامه فرصة لحصد لقب الدوري.
Al Ahly visits Pyramids today (Monday) in a decisive clash in the Egyptian Premier League, as part of the fourth round of the final stage to determine the title.
The much-anticipated match kicks off at 8 PM Cairo and Mecca time, at the “30th of June” Stadium, the home ground of Pyramids FC.
The “Last Chance” Encounter
Today’s match is considered a “last chance” for both teams to compete for the Egyptian league title, with only four matches remaining. Pyramids currently sits in second place in the standings with 44 points, ahead of Al Ahly in third place on goal difference, while Zamalek tops the table with 49 points.
A Difficult Season for Al Ahly
Al Ahly is having a poor season under their Danish coach, Jes Torup, having exited both the League Cup and the Egypt Cup early, as well as being eliminated from the African Champions League in the quarter-finals by Tunisian club Esperance. Their only remaining chance is to win the league title to appease their fans.
Pyramids Dreams of a Double
On the other hand, Pyramids failed to defend their African Champions League title after being eliminated in the current edition’s quarter-finals by the Royal Army of Morocco, but they dream of achieving a domestic double for the first time in their history (the league and the Egypt Cup), as they will face Zed in the Egypt Cup final, and they still have a chance to win the league title.
